WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ZIKA VIRUS.

Zika virus is said to belongs to Flaviviridae which is transmitted by daytime- active aedes mosquitoes. It is believed to have occur in the equatorial belt of Africa and Asia in 1950. Zika fever is sweeping through central and southern America. the virus has affected over 3 million person in the region still spreading like fire.


Some of the signs of this disease include fever, joint pains, rashes  and conjunctivitis.
Its serious tread is linked to the birth defection  
Zika virus has been tentatively linked to 4,000 suspected cases of microcephaly in Brazil, a condition that results in abnormally small heads and brains in newborns. There is no treatment for microcephaly.

 According to World Health Organization  there is a possibilities that millions can still be affected by the disease due to its wild spread
