MILITANTS  continued bombing of oil installations, last night, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The details were still sketchy this morning‎, but it was learned that they blew up the Abiteye flow station and Sagara to Chevron pipelines.

GUNMEN ATTACKED ON SPLENDID HOTEL-MORE THAN 20 KILLED

Government forces stormed the facility. In the late  hours of Friday, there was fire blazing and gun shot. the report say not fewer than 15 person is wounded in the attack. The raid began about five hours after gunmen attacked the Splendid Hotel in Ouagadougou late Friday. A fire was seen blazing in the lobby of the hotel after the raid began.

SUSPECTED FULANI KILLS IN ENUGU STATE

The deceased, Onwura Hyacinth Ani was shot dead in farm by the Fulani who were reportedly infuriated that late Ani complained over the destruction of his farm land at Ihukulu Village, Ohuani Amofu in Nkerefi by their cattle.
The police have however, swung into action to avert crises between the natives of Ihukulu and the Fulani over the killing of their son.
The suspects are now in police custody at Amagunze from where they would be moved to the police headquarters in Enugu, while investigations had started.
Police Spokesman DSP Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the story in a telephone interview with Vanguard, saying that the matter was being handled to avert crises.
“The matter is being handled. I don’t have the details yet but the matter is being handled. Some suspects have been arrested,” he said.

They were reportedly armed with various offensive weapons and loaded themselves in a truck before being intercepted and arrested by the Police.
It was gathered that the Police at the Funbi-Fagun Police division intercepted the truck conveying the suspects to an undisclosed location.

She  is suing Twitter for serving as a propaganda platform that has fuelled the Islamic State group’s “explosive growth”, the AFP reported.
A suit filed in federal court in the Northern California city of Oakland on Wednesday accuses Twitter of providing “material support” for terrorists by allowing the group “unfettered” use of the service to spread its message, recruit members, and raise money.
“This material support has been instrumental to the rise of ISIS and has enabled it to carry out numerous terrorist attacks,” the lawsuit argued.

The aggrieved youths, at about 8am, marched to the palace of Olowo of Owo, Oba Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi to intimate him of the development.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State says it will soon conduct the primary election for Anambra Central Senatorial zone.
The announcement was made by the State Chairman of the party, Ken Emeakayi, during the solidarity visit of the 109 wards and seven local government executive committees of the PDP from Anambra Central Senatorial district.

PAKISTAN COALITION WITH SAUDI ARABIA

Pakistan’s prime minister sought to reassure Saudi Arabia and its Arab coalition in Yemen that his country “does not abandon friends and strategic partners, especially at a time when their security is under threat.”

Nawaz Sharif’s assurance came Monday after a flurry of statements from officials in Arab countries expressing their disappointment at Pakistan refusing to join their coalition.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the suspects were arrested by soldiers at Otuokpoti Unit 1, Ward 2, Ogbia Local Government Area, where the box was allegedly snatched.

WOMAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING BABY

The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Celestina Kalu, in a statement issued on Tuesday in Asaba, said that the suspect was nabbed after a relation of the child’s mother spotted her with the baby and raised an alarm.

SITUATION REPORT ON BEYELSA ELECTION


The ongoing Bayelsa governorship election rerun is being threatened once more by violence, incidents of ballot snatching, despite assurances by security agencies and appeals by several stakeholders for peace.
The supplementary election is taking place in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area and 102 polling units across six other local government areas of the state.
Ahead of the poll, in the early hours of Thursday, there was a bomb attack on the house of the Speaker, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Konbowei Benson, in Korokorosie, Southern Ijaw LGA.

WOMAN DIED TYPING TEXT

The married mother-of-two identified as Wang lost her life in an avoidable accident after falling into a river while she was focused on her phone.
Police released a video of the 28-year-old woman walking in the middle of the road, but was too focused on her phone to realize that she was walking to the edge of a ravine on Tuesday night
She suddenly lost her footing and fell into the river. She struggled for one minute and then drowned.
Wang’s body was discovered the next morning by her husband Yang, who found her shoe floating in the river while he was looking for her.
The Police in its statement warned residents to pay attention to their surroundings, adding that the river was only chest deep but Wang drowned because of the thick mud at the bottom that makes it difficult to stand in the water.

Apart from Southern Ijaw LGA where the entire results were canceled, some of the other LGAs where election were canceled included Brass Ward 1, in Brass LGA, Tarakiri Ward, Oporoma Ward and Bassambiri Ward all in Ekeremo LGA.
Election was also canceled in Ologi Ward in Ogbio LGA, Asamabiri in Sagbama LGA and Attissa Ward in Yenagoa LGA of the state.

MAN BEATS BRIDESMAID AT WEDDING (PICTURE)

A groom in the United Kingdom, turned his own wedding into a fist fest, beating up two of his bride’s best friends.
Police arrested 27-year-old John Paul Campbell from Macclesfield, after he punched his wife’s 26-year-old best friend, Samantha Dewar, who was a bridesmaid.
Campbell punched Dewar so hard it knocked her out. She suffered a fractured cheekbone and had to have a metal plate inserted to rebuild her cheek. She also suffered a black eye.
Campbell claimed he punched Dewar because she interfered in an argument.
He was arrested and charged and has since pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm when he appeared before a Magistrates Court

The 22-year-old Margaret Wanyanga reportedly accidentally spilled the milk after milking a cow in her home in Ithareini village, Kirinyaga County.
According to News24, the lady woke up as usual, milked the family’s cow before delivering some milk to a nearby collection centre.

Soyinka has said he didn't know about the cost of a party held in his name, in a State where 90 per cent of the people live in insufferable poverty. But now that official documents show the cost of his three-hour dinner, where is his moral outrage?
Why does his statement not include a condemnation of such unconscionable misuse of public funds in his name?

WOMAN POURED HOT WATER ON 9-YEAR

40-year-old Man defiles 10-month-old Girl in churchA 28-year-old woman, Ifeoma Anyadiegwu, has been arrested by the police for allegedly pouring hot water on a 9-year-old girl.
Ifeoma a trader, who lives at 20, Idowu Street, Kola Alagbado, accused the young girl who was staying with her of stealing a piece of meat and thereby threatened to deal with her and thereby poured hot water on her.
Lagos Metro gathered that, if not for the timely intervention of neighbours, who rushed the girl to the hospital, she would have suffered more burns all over her body.
