The speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly Kabiru Rurum has resigned.
The House has move to investigate the Emire of Kano Muhammed sanusi 11 for alleged corruption but later pipe low.
The Speaker was alleged to have collected money to scuttle the investigation of the Emir.
The State House has launched an investigation into abuse of office, improper conduct and financial fraud running into billion of naira, leveled against Malam Muhammadu Sanusi11, the Emir of Kano.
The Kano State anti-corruption agency suspended its investigation of the monarch after prominent Nigerian intervened.
But the Speaker is faced with allegation of being bribed to stop the probe, which he denied.
Malam Ibrahim Chidariof the Deputy Speaker on Monday read the resignation letter at the plenary sitting
The Speaker is alleged to have collected 100 million Naira from Dangote to stop the probe
