Four Soldiers Missing in Bayelsa

Four Military personnel of the Operation Crocodile Smile were reported missing in a boat accident.
The incident occurred  about 10 am on Monday along Brass waterfront in Brass Local Government area of the State  when the Soldiers were conveyed to Bayelsa State.

The mission of the Soldiers to the area could not be actually defined, but it may not be unconnected with the deployment of military personnel to the area to curtail the rumored declaration of Niger Delta Republic and the renewed militancy in the Area. Since February 2016, there has been serous unrest in the region occasioned  by oil installation vandalism and resounding gun shot.

According to an eye witness in the area, who said in recent times there have been heavy presence of military personnel in our region, added that  about  10 am some uniformed Soldiers were struggling to rescue some of their colleague who were in the same boat but the ocean current was not helping matters. It was gathered  that  the  boat that was conveying the Soldier was involve in an accident, a sort of panic ensured around the water front when some of the Soldiers could not be found after their boat capsized and their rife  were missing too.

Every effort to  rescue the military men was abortive as some of the youth hired to search for the Soldiers could not make head way..
