LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY CLOSURE, WHAT IT CAUSED PHOTO

The closure of Lagos – Ibadan Expressway for construction work has led to a gridlock at the Berger end of the Expressway. We advised those passing through this road make allowance.
The Lagos State Government had announced that there would be a temporary closure of one lane of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at Berger bridge end between 10:AM and 1:PM on Sunday, May 8, 2016.

A statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde,  said the closure was necessitated by the ongoing construction of a pedestrian bridge at Berger bus stop. The statement said that traffic officials had been deployed to the area to direct traffic and urged all motorists and other road users to cooperate with the officials in order to ensure orderliness during the period
.
It expressed regret for any inconvenience the closure will cause road users, explaining that the temporary hardship is to provide lasting solution to road crossing in the area by pedestrians thus ensuring safety of lives and property.
